He is a wonderful choir director who cares about the singers and their understanding of the music.

I enjoyed singing with him.

He is great at pacing rehearsals and getting at the details without being monotonous.

As always, John is amazing and one of the best conductors I have worked with.  Encouraging, tough (in a good way), kind, and competent.

It was wonderful working with John!  I hope to have the opportunity to do it again.

I really appreciated the background information on the music.  It helped me get a clearer idea of what the music should sound like.

Each rehearsal was planned minute for minute - every second counted.
